TRIBAL AND INDIAN LAW

Attorneys in our firm are admitted to practice in state and federal courts and have litigated tribal and Indian law issues in these courts as well as in the separate tribal courts of the Hopi Tribe, the Navajo Nation, the White Mountain Apache Tribe, the Gila River Indian Community, and the San Carlos Apache Indian Community. Our firm has gained first hand experience with tribal issues and tribal courts. Before joining the firm, Franklin Hoover served in the Office of General Counsel for the Hopi Tribe.

Our firm serves tribal clients on all levels: Villages, Individuals, Tribal Governments and Boards, and Tribal Schools including charter schools, grant schools, and grant charter schools.

We represent tribal entities and individuals in the areas of Civil Litigation in tribal, state and federal courts; Contracts and Inter-Governmental Agreements; Administrative Law including interaction with state and federal agencies and departments; Employment Law; Environmental Law; Real Property and Personal Property Law; Religious Freedoms and Rights under tribal, state and federal law; and Tribal School Law.
