Michelle G. Parker is an Associate Attorney at Mangum, Wall, Stoops & Warden, P.L.L.C.

AREAS OF PRACTICE

Education Law
Ms. Parker's practice is almost exclusively devoted to education law. Ms. Parker counsels and represents numerous school districts, charter schools, community college districts and universities throughout the State of Arizona; her education law practice emphasizes employment issues, student rights and responsibilities, and governance matters.

Honors and Distinctions
Ms. Parker has served as a Commissioner Pro Tempore for the Coconino County Superior Court.

Ms. Parker was a finalist for the 2002 American Inns of Court, Arizona Chapter, Sandra Day O'Connor Award for Professional Service; she was also the recipient of the Coconino County DNA-People's Legal Services Pro Bono Award in 2001.

While in law school, Ms. Parker was a law clerk for the Honorable Barry C. Schneider. Prior to joining Mangum, Wall, Stoops & Warden, P.L.L.C., Ms. Parker was a solo practitioner in Flagstaff.

Ms. Parker also has extensive experience in the classroom, which includes teaching college courses regarding Medieval and Renaissance culture and literature and lecturing on those subjects at national academic conferences, as well as teaching in a multi-age preschool/kindergarten classroom.

Ms. Parker has addressed educators statewide regarding employee background investigations in the school setting, how schools can best address free speech and religion issues, employee and student discipline matters, keeping unwanted persons away from the school environment, and preventing employment discrimination.
