AREAS OF PRACTICE

Education Law
Mr. Hoover heads up the firm's grant/charter school practice, but also works on issues for public school clients. Mr. Hoover has twelve years worth of experience in working with governmental organizations, including eight years of experience in working with charter schools, as well as other government entities. Mr. Hoover is involved, on a daily basis, in educational clients of all types and in educational issues at every level, from Head Start to higher education issues.

Tribal Law
Mr. Hoover began his legal career as an Assistant General Counsel for the Hopi Tribe, working with nearly every aspect of tribal governmental operations. While employed with the Hopi Tribe, Mr. Hoover worked on issues involving employment, education, and government administration during his four year tenure with the Hopi Tribe. Upon joining the firm, Mr. Hoover immediately became involved in the firm's long-standing practice of working with schools of all types in Indian communities. Mr. Hoover has handled numerous and varied issues for both Bureau-funded and charter schools on a number of reservations. Mr. Hoover has represented clients in a variety of forums, ranging from the Navajo Nation's Labor Commission, to federal court for the District of Arizona.
